Clinical Trials Navigators: Helping Canadian Cancer Patients Find Eligible Clinical Trials

If you volunteer to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete an online questionnaire. This questionnaire has three parts. Part I contains questions about personal information such as race and gender to determine patient demographics. Questions regarding personal information are optional and it does not impact your access to the service in finding potential clinical trials. Part II contains questions regarding cancer and treatment to search for appropriate clinical trials for the patient. Lastly, part III is a follow-up questionnaire to obtain your feedback regarding the project.

The study will seek to ask participants questions regarding their understanding of the scientific research process and clinical trials, research outcomes and its impact.

Physical Activity and Primary Brain Tumour

Participation in this study will require a telephone interview lasting approximately 5-10 minutes.  Subsequently, participants will be sent an online questionnaire lasting approximately 20 minutes.  Participants will then be sent follow-up surveys each month for 6 months (each lasting approximately 20 minutes).

If you are at least 15 years old and live in Canada, you can participate! You will be invited to fill online surveys on a regular basis. You can also choose to download the COHESION research app that collects information on your mobility, physical activity levels and social contacts. The purpose of this study is to understand the impacts that relative social isolation, in the sense that very young children (from neonates to 24 months old) have been exposed to during the COVID pandemic of the past 1.5 years, can have on all the different aspects of early development, including social development, language development, motor development, and cognitive development.

For this study, you will first be screened for eligibility. Then, you would fill out some questionnaires on your mood and rumination and complete a memory task four times within a week. All tests would be done online, so you could participate in this study from your own home.
