Research Membership

WE-SPARK Health Institute membership helps grow health research capacity across our region. Core membership is reserved for people with a primary affiliation at one of our five partner institutions. We also welcome anyone interested in health research to engage with our growing research culture as Affiliate, Community, or Ambassador members.

Membership Categories, Eligibility and Benefits

Core	Principal	Researchers who are currently supported as a PI/Co-PI by a provincially or nationally funded health project or an investigator initiated clinical trial. A formal affiliation with 1 of the WE-SPARK partner institutions. Core	Associate	Actively engaged in research but do not currently hold a provincially or nationally funded project. A formal affiliation with 1 of the WE-SPARK partner institutions.
Affiliate	Researcher	Indirect supporters of health research and associated with health research or health care	Bi-monthly members newsletter Quarterly community newsletter E-mail updates on news/events Access to seminar series and other educational opportunities Access to listings of funding/research opportunities and/or collaborations Volunteer experience through participation in educational opportunities in the community (students only) Association with world class research
Affiliate	Student	Individuals at any level of formal, post-secondary training in all disciplines Appointment will be until expected graduation date, and can be renewed based on re-application as long as they remain trainees
Community		Individuals or organizations interested in the health landscape in Windsor-Essex	Quarterly community newsletter E-mail updates on news and events Association with world class research
