Research Membership
Membership at WE-SPARK Health Institute is important to help grow health research capacity across our region. Core membership is a distinction reserved for those people with a primary affiliation at one of our four partner institutions. However, we welcome anyone interested in health research to become engaged in our growing research culture as Affiliate, Community or Ambassador members. Membership Categories, Eligibility and Benefits

| Principal | - Researchers who are currently supported as a PI/Co-PI by a provincially or nationally funded health project OR an investigator initiated clinical trial.
- A formal affiliation with 1 of the WE-SPARK partner institutions.
| - Eligible for grants and proposals supported by WE-SPARK
- Bi-monthly members newsletter
- Quarterly community newsletter
- E-mail updates on news/events
- Access to seminar series and other educational opportunities
- Profile or name included on WE-SPARK website
- Eligible for appointment to WE-SPARK Executive Committee
- Access to listings of funding/research opportunities and/or collaborations
- Association with world class research

| Associate | - Actively engaged in research but do not currently hold a provincially or nationally funded project.
- A formal affiliation with 1 of the WE-SPARK partner institutions.

- Appointment will be until expected graduation date, and can be renewed based on re-application as long as they remain trainees
