WE-SPARK Events

In February 2025, WE-SPARK Health Institute became an official partner of CANTRAIN - a national training platform focused on advancing clinical trials and research capacity in Canada. Since joining, WE-SPARK has been actively sharing information about CANTRAIN with its partner institutions, generating strong interest in the platform and its opportunities.  This event is being held in response to that interest and will provide attendees with the chance to learn more directly from CANTRAIN representatives. Join us to explore what CANTRAIN offers and how it can support clinical research, training, and collaboration across institutions.  Registration is required to receive the virtual meeting link! Sustainable Solutions: Strengthening Feeding Windsor Essex Through Collaboration and Research Roger Fordham, Coordinator & Founder Feeding Windsor Essex Leveraging AI for Data-Driven Innovation in Health Care Ziad Kobti, Ph.D. Professor & Director of the School of Computer Science, University of Windsor Building Intersectoral Collaboration to Prevent and Address Sexual Violence in Ontario Schools Catherine Vanner, Ph.D. Faculty of Education, University of Windsor Overview: This researcher is planning for a national grant competition in 2027 focused on recent graduates’ experiences of sexual violence in secondary schools in a multi-site study of five sites across Ontario including Windsor-Essex. The study will involve an advisory group of relevant stakeholders to develop recommendations to prevent and address sexual violence in schools. She is inviting stakeholders from disciplines including public health, nursing, psychology, public administration, and related fields to join a conversation…
