Feasibility and acceptability of a self-guided internet-delivered dialectical behavior therapy inter

We are looking for participants to enroll in a self-guided, 8-week e-learning skills course designed to understand its usability and potential usefulness to others in the future. We are looking for individuals who are aged 18 and up, residing in Ontario, are fluent in English, have symptoms of depression/anxiety, and are not currently receiving any psychotherapy. What’s involved?  Quick phone screen (~10 minutes) One virtual baseline session with an interview & questionnaires (~60 minutes) Follow-up questionnaires at 4 and 8 weeks (~15 minutes each) Spend 1 to 2 hours on the e-learning skill course content per week for up to 8 weeks. The Experiences and Well-Being of Informal Caregivers of Individuals with Concurrent Disorders Acros

The purpose of this study is to understand the experiences and well-being of informal caregivers of individuals with concurrent disorders across the care journey. For the purposes of this study, informal caregivers are individuals (15 years or older) who provide unpaid care to an individual (15 years or older) with both mental and substance use disorders. Eligible participants will be invited to participate in a 60-minute virtual interview and will be asked approximately 10-15 questions about their current mood, experiences as an informal caregiver to an individual with concurrent disorders, what it's like to care for this individual and how this experience has impacted them. They will be compensated for their time. The information from this study will be used to provide insights on the types of resources, supports and/or treatments needed for informal caregivers of individuals with concurrent disorders.

Study of Cognition and Sex Hormones

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the menstrual cycle and female sex hormones may impact how well we think and pay attention. We will compare two menstrual cycle phases (i.e., luteal and follicular) and two hormones (i.e., estrogen and progesterone) to see how these may impact females with and without ADHD. We will also be investigating a new tool for measuring health literacy, or the ability to find and critically evaluate health information.

Barriers and Facilitators to Health Research - a Community Hospital Perspective

Medical research allows for continued innovation and can increase the quality of life of people in our community with data showing that patients in hospitals where research is conducted tend to have better health outcomes (Gehrke et al., 2019). For health research capacity to increase in our province and country, research out of Community Hospitals needs to be supported. Continued evaluation, including data collection beyond survey methodology, will enable us to better understand the barriers as well as the facilitators to conducting research in a community-based hospital, and inform how services available in Windsor-Essex can be improved to ensure that research is supported. This study will collect and analyze this information using online 30-minute semi-structured interviews.

Provide medical clearance for patients to do exercise training, AND/OR deliver exercise training (e.g., conduct assessments/screening, create/modify exercise plans, supervise and assist patients while exercising), AND/OR are educated and qualified to do so but are now in a managerial and/or research role.
