Daniel Scurto is a Research Associate in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Windsor. He holds a BHK and MSc in Kinesiology and Health Studies from the University of Windsor,.

Daniel’s research focuses on skeletal muscle physiology, injury and regeneration, metabolic health, and exercise‑related immune responses. His work spans pre‑clinical models, muscle injury timing, sphingolipid signaling, and metabolic syndrome. He also contributes to industry‑supported research on topical psilocin for chronic pain relief and is involved in developing deep‑learning tools for muscle fiber analysis. His emerging program emphasizes rigorous experimental methods, translational physiology, and collaborative health research.
