Dr. Aman Ahluwalia‑Cameron is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Windsor. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Windsor, an MSW with a specialization in Gerontology from the University of Toronto, and a PhD in Social Work from the University of Windsor. Before joining academia, she spent nearly a decade as a clinical social worker in hospital and community mental health settings, supporting individuals affected by trauma and systemic barriers to care.

Dr. Ahluwalia‑Cameron’s research focuses on structural stigma, mental health equity, and access to care for marginalized women, with a particular emphasis on borderline personality disorder. Her work uses qualitative and community‑based methods to examine how social systems shape service delivery, stigma, and health outcomes. She collaborates across social work, nursing, and psychology to advance evidence‑based practice, intersectional analysis, and community‑engaged approaches that address systemic barriers within mental health and social service systems.
