Dr. Pradeepa Yoganathan is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Wayne State University’s Kresge Eye Institute, with adjunct appointments at the University of Windsor and the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. She is an active retinal surgeon at Windsor Regional Hospital and Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Yoganathan completed her MD at Albany Medical College, ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of Toronto, and holds an MSc in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University.

Dr. Yoganathan’s research focuses on retinal disease, trauma, and patient‑centred innovations in clinical care. She has led numerous multicenter clinical trials, published extensively in high‑impact ophthalmology journals, and contributed evidence that has shaped surgical protocols and diabetic retinopathy management. Her current work includes retinal trauma outcomes, patient navigation models for vulnerable populations, and engineering‑based approaches to improve intravitreal injection safety.
