Dr. Vikas Garg is a Medical Oncologist at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncology at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. He completed his MBBS in Aurangabad, his MD in General Medicine at PGIMER-RML Hospital, and his DM in Medical Oncology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, followed by a Clinical Research Fellowship at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
Dr. Garg's research focuses on therapeutic resistance in gastrointestinal and lung cancers, using clinical trial data to identify biomarkers that guide personalized chemotherapy and immunotherapy. His work aims to improve survival for patients with advanced cancers, and he has received recognitions including the CIHR CAN TAP Talent Award and the ASCO Conquer Cancer Merit Award.
