Dr. Charlene Senn is a Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Windsor. She completed her Ph.D. in Social Psychology at York University and her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Social Psychology at the University of Calgary. Dr. Senn's work led to her appointment as the Tier I Canada Research Chair in Sexual Violence (2017-2024). She developed the Enhanced Assess, Acknowledge, Act (EAAA) sexual assault resistance education program (Flip the Script with EAAATM) for women in the first year of university and led the randomized controlled trial to test its efficacy. EAAA reduces the sexual violence women experience by 50% across the next two years while reducing woman-blaming and self-blame. To date, it has been implemented on campuses in five countries. She has active research collaborations in the U.S. and Canada to adapt and evaluate EAAA for other groups, e.g., for younger girls (14-17) in the community, for Francophone and trans college students, and for online delivery.
