Bio

Dr. Jane Simanovski Peakovic is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Windsor. She earned her PhD in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing (non-thesis), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate, all from the University of Windsor. Her research focuses on lung transplantation, sleep quality, health-related quality of life, patient-reported outcome measures, and the role of nurse practitioners. As a Nurse Practitioner, she specializes in the management of patients with end stage lung disease and supporting them and their families before and after lung transplantation. She is registered with the College of Nurses in Ontario in the Extended Class and holds a national board certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a family nurse practitioner. She is licensed to practice in Ontario, Canada and Michigan, US. She teaches in the undergraduate and NP programs at the University of Windsor and holds a graduate status to supervise MScN and PhD students.
