Adjuvant endocrine therapy (AET) helps reduce the risk of breast cancer recurrence, but many patients stop treatment sooner than recommended. This study will examine patients' experiences after hospital discharge, including their confidence in primary care follow-up and challenges to continuing treatment. The findings will help identify ways to support patients in completing their recommended therapy and improve long-term outcomes.
Findings from this work may inform new strategies to support patients in completing treatment, improving long-term adherence and ultimately reducing the risk of breast cancer recurrence.
