The objective of this research is thus to pilot a dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT)6, an evidence-based therapy (among samples of IPV survivors 7, 8) focused on developing skills related to effective management of emotions, distress, and interpersonal interactions, in the Windsor-Essex region with female youth (14-to 24-year-olds) who have experienced IPV and are either pregnant or have at least one child with the ultimate goal of identifying effective methods of preventing IPV.
