The project will see researchers co-develop and evaluate the impact of a universal school nutrition program in target neighbourhoods, as part of a bigger initiative happening across the province that promotes health and a universal program across Canada. Now that the federal government has launched consultations on a pan-Canadian school food policy, researchers on this project hope to have an opportunity to showcase this model, as a part of this multi-sectoral collaboration.

This project seeks to capitalize on the work already being done in the Windsor-Essex area and the agriculture resources that it has to offer to make the area a model for other communities
