Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap)

Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap)

Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) is a secure, web-based tool designed for creating and managing online surveys and databases. Compliant with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), REDCap is tailored for facilitating data capture in research studies and can function both online and offline. The University of Windsor's Information Technology Services (ITS) hosts REDCap in a secure, controlled, and validated environment.

In collaboration with the University of Windsor ITS and in consultation with the Office of Research Ethics REB, the WE-SPARK Health Institute offers access to and administrative support for REDCap. Developed and regularly updated by Vanderbilt University, REDCap's details can be found at www.projectredcap.org.

WE-SPARK Health Institute is happy to offer the REDCap Development Service to our members. This is a fee-for-service model to member researchers who are looking to access dedicated support and/or training on REDCap.
