Dr. Madison Brockbank is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Windsor. She holds a BSW, MSW, and PhD from McMaster University, where she was a Vanier Scholar. Her academic and community practice background includes gender‑based violence prevention, engaging men and boys, and anti‑carceral feminist approaches to social work.

Dr. Brockbank’s research focuses on gender‑based and sexual violence, masculinities, anti‑carceral feminism, and violence intervention and prevention programming. She uses feminist participatory action research and community‑based methods to co‑design frameworks for engaging men in primary prevention, with additional work in equity, disability, houselessness, and creating safer learning environments for marginalized students. Her scholarship spans academic, community, and policy spaces, with ongoing projects examining anti‑carceral approaches to men’s violence intervention.
