Dr. Sebastian Gyamfi is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Windsor. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Mental Health and Stigma from the University of Western Ontario, a Master of Philosophy and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Ghana. His research focuses on mental health equity, stigma related to mental illness, structural violence, and the impact of religiocultural beliefs on vulnerable populations, with interests in theory development, mental health promotion, and the intersections of housing and homelessness.
