Dr. Darwish Alami is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mechanical, Automotive and Materials Engineering at the University of Windsor. He obtained his PhD in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Windsor, his Master’s in Engineering Management from Wayne State University, and both his Master of Applied Science and Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Windsor.
Dr. Alami brings over 25 years of leadership experience in the automotive and advanced manufacturing sectors, including executive roles at Dieffenbacher North America, Neapco, and Metal-Core Technologies. His career has focused on improving operations, manufacturing systems, and business performance across global environments, with particular expertise in lean manufacturing, supply chain management, and large-scale process improvements. His research interests include cost modeling, Industry 4.0 applications, and reconfigurable manufacturing systems.
