Recovering from a stem cell transplant depends on the immune system rebuilding itself. This project will examine how a common viral infection called CMV affects the recovery of natural killer (NK) cells, which help fight infections and cancer. The findings may help clinicians better identify patients at risk of complications and provide more personalized post-transplant care.

By learning how a common viral infection affects immune recovery after transplant, this research could help improve patient monitoring, predict complications earlier, and guide treatment decisions.
