We will use moderate size companion animal cancer patients to test boron compounds before using BNCT for such animals, with the ultimate goal of treating human cancer patients later. Our animal model will help us find the safest boron compounds and their concentration in tumor/normal tissue ratio to be used in biological dosimetry of BNCT.
