Dr. Marc-André Langlois, Executive Director of the CIHR Coronavirus Variants Rapid Response Network (CoVaRR-Net), Canadian Institutes of Health Research

Tuesday, April 27, 2021, 4:00 - 4:30pm EDT

The Coronavirus Variants Rapid Response Network (CoVaRR-Net) was established to help address growing concerns around the SARS-CoV-2 variants. Funded by the Government of Canada, in collaboration with the Public Health Agency of Canada's National Microbiology Lab and the Canadian COVID-19 Genomics Network, in addition to provincial and international institutions, CoVaRR-Net seeks to research the impact of COVID-19 variants on the immune response to the virus, and the potential for vaccine escape, among other epidemiological concerns. Join us in a discussion with Dr. Marc-André Langlois, the head of the network, as he explains the role of CoVaRR-Net in coordinating research on the COVID-19 variants in Canada.
