This project will provide a University of Windsor chemistry student with hands-on research experience at the University of Ottawa, where they will help develop new sensor technologies that could one day support earlier disease detection. Working alongside experts in chemistry and biomedical engineering,
the student will learn advanced research techniques and gain practical experience designing and testing biomedical devices. The placement will help build valuable research skills, support career development, and strengthen research expertise and collaboration between institutions in Ontario.

The placement will give the student valuable experience in biomedical research while strengthening research partnerships and bringing new knowledge and skills back to the Windsor-Essex region.
