Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare is enhancing its brain-stimulation program for substance use disorders by incorporating EEG monitoring into rTMS treatment. In 20 patients with substance use disorders and depression, the study will assess whether brain activity measurements can help predict treatment response and improve care.

Addressing a significant health need in Windsor-Essex, this work could help advance more personalized, brain-based treatments for substance use disorders and inform future improvements in care.
