Human Performance Core

CHPH is a multidisciplinary centre located within the Faculty of Human Kinetics, which is comprised of both the academic Department of Kinesiology and the Division of Athletics and Recreation Services. Recognized for excellence both nationally and internationally, faculty and staff from each department area combine efforts to showcase exceptional talents and expertise across multiple disciplines in the field of human movement.

Biomechanics and Ergonomics Laboratory

The lab is equipped with electromyography systems, force platforms, accelerometers, electrogoniometers, and a variety of force transducers. A number of custom jigs are used in the study of whole body and upper extremity ergonomics.

Motor Control/ Lifespan Development Laboratory

Infrastructure enabling examination of skill acquisition and skill maintenance across the lifespan, utilizing a range of techniques and methodologies.

Physical Activity and Cardiovascular Research Lab (PACR)

The PACR lab encompasses over 1400 square feet of recently completed wet labs and clinical space with state of the art exercise and health equipment.

Kinesiology Computer Laboratory

A state-of the art facility with 58 terminals outfitted with Kinesiology-specific research and teaching software packages.
