Schulich Medical Students

The WE-SPARK Research Hub for Schulich School of Medicine Students

As a WE-SPARK Strategic Alliance Member, the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry - Windsor Campus plays a vital role in advancing learner engagement in health research. Together, WE-SPARK and Schulich create opportunities for medical learners to connect with researchers, develop research skills, and participate in a vibrant health research community.

At the centre of the Schulich-WE-SPARK collaboration is Madeline Garlatti, Clinical Health Research Associate, who serves as the primary liaison connecting medical learners with WE-SPARK's research community and resources. Working closely with students, faculty, clinicians, and researchers, she helps cultivate research engagement by facilitating mentorship opportunities, supporting research project development, and providing personalized guidance throughout the research journey.

Medical learners also benefit from access to WE-SPARK-supported resources, including:

· Research engagement and networking events

· REDCap electronic data capture tools and support

· CITI training modules

· Methodological and statistical consultation services
