The purpose of this study is to explore trends in self-reported psychological distress among healthcare workers across the continuum in emergency services, primary and community care, hospital-based, and long-term care in Windsor-Essex at two stages of the epidemic, during and following the first wave of the COVID-19 crisis. The study will also provide insight into factors associated with distress in healthcare workers and explore ways in which local mental health providers can support, promote, and restore the emotional well-being of health care staff.

What Does The Study Involve?

You are asked to participate in a research study conducted by Dr. Jennifer Voth from Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare, Linda MacDougall from the Faculty of Nursing at St. Clair College, and Dr. Lindsey Jaber from the Faculty of Education at the University of Windsor.

This is the second survey of a 2-part survey study. It is not necessary for you to have completed the first survey to participate on this second survey. If you volunteer to participate, you will be asked to: complete an online REDCap survey about your workplace, your concerns and experiences and your level of psychological distress during the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey will take you approximately 20 minutes to complete. You will not receive any payment for participating in the study.
