The WE-SPARK After Dark event focuses on networking by providing a casual forum to bring together our health research community. The first hour of the event focuses on networking and getting to know other like-minded individuals interested in health research. Registration is encouraged, however, it is not required.  All are welcome! Creating a community-driven research hub in the downtown core: Working together for data driven solutions Adrian Guta, PhD School of Social Work, University of Windsor The School of Social Work at the University of Windsor and WE-SPARK Health Institute are convening local leaders to develop a community health research strategy grounded in the School's downtown presence and long-standing commitment to serving Windsor-Essex, with a particular attention to equity-deserving communities. The session will focus on identifying shared research priorities, potential data and partnership configurations and governance and ethics considerations, with the aim of forming collaborative working groups. Participants from across the health and human services continuum are invited to help define shared research priorities, partnership models, and collaborative teams for future funding opportunities, including large-scale research…

Join WE-SPARK Health Institute for an information session on the 2026 WE-SPARK Grant Competition, taking place on Wednesday, March 4, from 12:00-1:00pm. This session is designed to support prospective applicants as they begin developing their proposals.  The session will provide an overview of the available grant opportunities, eligibility criteria, application requirements, and key dates. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and gain insights to help strengthen their submissions.  This session is open to researchers and research teams interested in applying to the 2026 WE-SPARK Grant Competition. Registration is required.
