The goal of this proposal is to provide the seed funding for a new collaborative project on transcranial photobiomodulation therapy (Theralase®) in Parkinson’s. We are requesting funding to complete the necessary pilot work to optimize the photobiomodulation protocol (light spectrum and duration) in a small-scale study in 12 Parkinson patients. The end-goal is to attain pilot data for future CIHR grant capture necessary to complete the entire randomized control trial.
