Building Intersectoral Collaboration to Prevent and Address Sexual Violence in Ontario Schools

Overview: This researcher is planning for a national grant competition in 2027 focused on recent graduates’ experiences of sexual violence in secondary schools in a multi-site study of five sites across Ontario including Windsor-Essex. The study will involve an advisory group of relevant stakeholders to develop recommendations to prevent and address sexual violence in schools. She is inviting stakeholders from disciplines including public health, nursing, psychology, public administration, and related fields to join a conversation about how to engage collaboratively in designing and conducting research to study the prevalence and experiences of sexual violence in Ontario secondary schools and generate recommendations to raise awareness about the need for greater efforts to prevent and address it.
